Sprint planning – what’s on and why? – Ed or Phil
Keeping in mind our aim to start user testing in the week commencing 10th June, we set the following goals at last week’s sprint planning according to the different streams of work that exist within the service manual team:
- User research goal: User research activities for beta are approved by the CDPS Ethics Committee — This implies that our research plan has been finalised and approved, at which point we’ll be ready to start recruiting participants. We submitted our proposal to the Ethics Committee last week so are well on track to meet this goal.
- Content goal: At least one “Show the thing” has been completed with CDPS staff — Achieving this goal will mean that we’ve drafted our first piece of content for the service manual, and CDPS staff will have had an opportunity to provide feedback on it. This will be invaluable in helping us establish a content production process for the whole of beta as we work towards our MVP launch in October. We currently have two pieces of content drafted and they will be distributed to CDPS staff for critiquing in the coming week.
- Infrastructure goal: Interactive components are ready for testing in Figma — We got plenty of user feedback on the usability of our prototype during Alpha. Our goal for this sprint is to make some improvements to our prototype based on that feedback in time for the next round of user testing. These mostly relate to the way content is structured and navigated to rather than the content itself. These changes will be implemented in the coming week.
