On the blog: some text about texts

It might not be obvious if you look at the rushed, punctuation-light text messages many of us have clogging up our phones but there’s an art to that ubiquitous modern communication, the text. Our latest blog post discusses the fundamentals of clear, inclusive text-message writing through CDPS’s work with Neath Port Talbot Council on a service to request adult social care.

Here are the top tips for writing user-centred text messages that emerged from that collaboration (with the example of social care):

Social media: bridging the digital divide

Our blog post on bridging the digital divide was picked up by the public services think tank UKAuthority. It’s great to see our content being picked up by other platforms:

It’s also positive to see the user-centred design agencies Create/Change and Content Design London promoting our content. This shows that what we’re publishing is interesting to others.

We published a blog post on our work with Sport Wales to make their grant application process more user-centred. Both Sport Wales’s content designer and Sport Wales promoted the post; this is something we encourage with comms teams we work with to make our content reach further.

User traffic: multi-channel interactions

We’re continuing to improve our understanding of how our users find and interact with our content, to help us identify a more effective and measurable approach to our multi-channel communications.
