This week we held a knowledge sharing webinar on recruitment as part of our Attract, Recruit, Retain campaign. We had almost 60 attendees, with an average attendance time of 50 minutes from organisations such as NHS Wales, Welsh Government and Monmouthshire County Council. It was a lively event with lots of questions and comments from the audience. We published a blog post shortly after on the topic.

This week we published two blog posts:
How we’re moving towards electronic prescriptions in Wales – Working with Digital Health and Care Wales (DHCW) to improve the way medicine is prescribed and dispensed, here’s what we’ve learnt from visiting pharmacies and GP practices and speaking to people who need medicine.
How to attract talent to digital, data and technology roles – We are sharing some solutions and ideas to tackle the challenges that many organisations across the public sector are facing, in the current jobs market, to attract talented people to digital, data and technology (DDaT) roles.
As part of our ‘Recruit, Attract, Retain’ campaign, we also published Recruitment tools and templates with more to come in the next few months.
Our most popular blog post last week was How we’re moving towards electronic prescriptions in Wales with 127 views. This piece of work has proved particularly popular with the previous blog post also getting good views. The second most popular blog post was Schools management information systems - what we discovered with 88 views. We keep an eye on blog analytics and if we feel a blog post needs a boost, we will look at putting out more social media or featuring it in our newsletter.
It’s been a busy week for external events.
Myra joined the line up at Ireland’s Digital Government conference on Thursday. She talked about the Well-being of Future Generations (Wales) Act 2015, the digital strategy for Wales focusing on mission 1 and some of the challenges we’re facing. There was particular interest in the design of bilingual services and it was great to be able to share our experience and learnings.
Ann presented our Tech Net Zero discovery recommendations to the Cross Party Group for Digital this week. The presentation was well received with questions focusing on blockers and what made Tech Net Zero difficult to do. Rhun ap Iorwerth (chair of the group) is keen to get some Senedd debates on the topic so watch this space!
It has been such a busy week! This has been reflected in the amount of social media highlights. Myra’s presentation at Ireland’s Digital Government conference was well received:
