We held our latest Comms team show and tell this week. Why do you hold a show and tell I hear you cry!? We started doing monthly show and tells as a way of ‘working in the open’ and sharing what we were doing with the wider team. We often try and talk about something that would impact the wider CDPS team eg: re-brand or big events etc
This month we decided to mix up the format as we found that show and tells can become one sided, and we wanted to have a bit of fun and interact with our colleagues. We also decided to change the day from a Thursday afternoon to a Friday morning. We found more people accepted the invite on the Friday PLUS we said in the description we would be doing something fun…This piqued interest. 😊
We ran a two truths and a lie quiz on each of the comms team (although some people mixed this up and submitted two lies and a truth which caused all sorts of mayhem!). This was a great way of opening up conversation and learning a little bit more about us as a team. We also did the usual show and tell by updating everyone on the team need to know about including:
There were A LOT of Schitt’s Creek gifs in this month’s show and tell…..I’m wondering if there’s a way of incorporating them into EVERY one…
Shwmae! As we’re looking to recruit a finance advisor for the Board, we arranged to film two of our lovely Board members – JM Frost and Andrea Gale – speaking about their experience so far, what they’ve learned, and why somebody should go for the role.
For those who haven’t met them, they’re both warm, friendly, and professional. JM touched on the importance of the new role and how the experience of being on our Board can elevate careers. Andrea explained the key learning points, how the role (as well as the organisation and Board) can work towards better public services across Wales, and the culture of the Board.
Their videos – along with other role recruitment posts – will be going out across social media shortly. Please share it with your own networks, especially on LinkedIn!
Diolch yn fawr iawn to you all for being active on social media the past couple of months. It’s lovely to see such a big CDPS presence on LinkedIn, and we’ve FINALLY broken out of that echo chamber which is something we need to give ourselves a pat on the back for!
Here are my social media highlights from the past week:
