This week, we continued promoting our public beta website, to get feedback from external users.

We continued to make sure all our existing content is available on the public beta site. It’s surprising how much content gets published, even on a small website. So this has also been a good opportunity to consolidate similar content and remove content which no longer serves a purpose.

With more time to review analytics in the future, we’d like to make this a frequent thing, so that we only have content which is relevant and helps users to find the best content to meet their needs. Having fewer, more relevant pages is also good for the website’s carbon footprint.

Social media highlights

This week was all about promoting Dolenni Digidol, which takes place on Tuesday 6 June. The event will take place in M-SParc, Ynys Môn. Jack Rigby, our head of Technology will cover all things legacy IT and systems in public sector organisations, along with M-SParc’s Digital Innovation Manager, Carwyn Edwards.

We are also preparing for TWO new starters on Monday 5 June, our Senior Product Manager for Standards, Phil Baird, and our new Lead Trainer and Learning Designer, Ebonie Mather.

Dros yr wythnosau diwethaf, rydym wedi bod yn treialu system newydd i’n gynllun sbrint. Rydym yn dechrau’r cynllun trwy nodi ein gwaith tîm i lawr (fel yr arfer), ond wedyn yn cyfateb y gwaith yma’n glir i'n hamcanion. Gwnaeth Osian greu tabl gyda’r 3 amcan ar yr ochr chwith, a cholofn ‘ein gwaith’, gyda phob darn yn eistedd wrth ochr yr amcan cywir. Gweler llun isod:

Wrth i ni ddod i arfer â’r system newydd, roedd rhaid disgwyl i bethau peidio gweithio neu brofi’n anodd. Roedd angen newid y llunwedd a chydlynu’r bwrdd â lliwiau i’w gwneud yn haws i ddilyn, defnyddio wynebau o bwy sy’n rhan o beth, yn hytrach nag enwau ar post-its, roedd angen am fwy o drafodaeth, a modd trafod am waith personol, yn hytrach na waith tîm yn unig.

Wedyn, roedd hi’n bryd i mi drefnu’r sbrint - am her!

I ddechrau, gwnes i newid y llunwedd, wedyn creu lluniau o wynebau pawb er mwyn eu cynnwys yn y tabl. Gwnes i greu allwedd lliw i bawb ei ddilyn, a chreu tabl ‘gwaith personol’, gwnaeth rhoi trosolwg i bawb ar waith ein gilydd, a chynnig cyfle i drafod eu pryderon wrth gynllunio ar gyfer y pythefnos nesaf.

Roedd y sesiwn yn hit! Ac yn well byth, cododd syniadau newydd yn ein colofn myfyrio bydd werth ystyried yn ein sesiwn cynllunio nesaf.

Does dim byd byth yn berffaith, mae wastad rhywbeth i'w ymarfer a'i wella. Dyna’n union beth rydyn ni’n ei wneud, wrth i ni geisio dod o hyd i gynllun sy'n gweithio i ni.

Over the last few weeks, we have been trialling a new system for our sprint plan. We start by noting the team’s upcoming work (as usual), but then clearly match this work to our objectives. Osian created a table with the 3 objectives on the left side, and an 'our work' column, with each piece sitting next to the correct objective. See photo below:
