This week we held our monthly Communicating Digital Community of Practice. This month’s theme was on Agile comms and sprint planning. The CDPS comms team have been working in this way for the past few months and wanted to share our experiences with the group.
The session was well-attended with colleagues from Vale of Glamorgan Council, Rhondda Cynon Taf Council, ProMo-Cymru, Wales Council for Voluntary Action, Social Care Wales, Welsh Revenue Authority and Welsh Government. We like to make our events interactive and ran a mentimeter to capture feedback which was really positive.
The group was set up to support comms professionals involved in digital transformation projects. If you’d like to join the group, sign up here.
We also had some great feedback over email. This is from a comms colleague working in a local authority. We’re open to supporting teams or individuals working in the Welsh public sector.
Join the community to find out how we could help you.
We held the first of three workshops looking at the Digital Service Standards for Wales.
The aim of the workshop is to hear from our users about their understanding and application of the standards, the barriers they face and what they need from us to help their organisation adopt and embed them.
We covered 3 of the standards:
Focus on users and their needs
Have an empowered service owner
It was a busy, well-attended event. Organisations that attended include Neath Port Talbot Council, Welsh Government, Rhondda Cynon Taf County Borough Council, Cwmpas, Cadw, Welsh Revenue Authority and Social Care Wales. You can catch up on the main points in this Twitter thread.
