Gem here! With Twitter re-branding as X, it’s been a wild couple of weeks getting used to the changes on the platform. I’ve been writing the comms report and the turbulence is reflected in some of our stats. There are still some gems on social media though. The main nice things have been the interest in our trio writing book:

It was also great to see Phillipa sharing that we are sponsoring a place at the Future Generations Academy. We’ve been encouraging our 18 - 30 year old staff to apply, so watch this space!

I (Gem) have been supporting the Taxi and PHV passenger safety team as they kick off an 8-week discovery looking at the safety of passengers who use taxis and private hire vehicles across Wales. It’s an exciting project because comms have been asked to be involved from the very beginning and the team are very much in favour of working collaboratively and openly.
Last week the team held their first show and tell which was well attended (there were 38 individuals from a diverse range of organisations, take a look below):
The team are in the process of writing a blog post on the background of the discovery and who they are hoping to speak to as part of the user research.

Hi Mike here. We are on countdown for this year’s National Eisteddfod, taking place in Boudaun, Gwynedd from 5-12 August. It will be the first Eisteddfod I attend!
This year we will be running an event in partnership with the Welsh Government on trio writing – a new approach to designing digital bilingual services. We will be giving a demonstration of how this process works and hear first-hand experiences from Welsh public sector organisations that have been putting this into practice. We will also be joined by Jeremy Miles MS, Minister for Education and Welsh Language to launch our new book on trio writing.
If you know public service colleagues that are attending, encourage them to book onto our event 😊
