We ran our bi-weekly building bilingual services community of practice this week.
20 people attended and we were joined by Dr Llion Jones (Bangor University) who gave us a demonstration of Cysgliad. Thanks to Gareth Watson from Denbighshire Council for chairing.

Public service boards
We met the team in Welsh Government responsible for overseeing Public Service Boards. A great meeting and some follow up research to be done to look at their assessments and board make up, and to identify synergy with our work.
Knowledge sharing webinar - content design
Our next knowledge sharing webinar will take place on 15 February exploring the role of content design in building great user-centred services. The team from the Office for National Statistics will feature as a case study.

Supporting delivery teams
Welsh Revenue Authority - we met with the comms lead and the SRO for the project we’re working on with the WRA. An intro blogpost is in the pipeline.
Sport Wales - we met with the Sport Wales team to discuss future blog posts including their learnings from grant based services and their end of alpha report. We also discussed their plan for alpha+ - a 14 week extension of their alpha phase where they will be focusing on designing and evaluating the end-to-end user journey and implementation of a new grants application/management system.

Accessing adult social care - content design
We drafted first round of content for the track my request service, based on the extensive user research the service team has done. This is a service whose users (adults seeking social care for themselves or friends or family) can be in considerable distress. We have to design content, allaying anxiety and diminishing cognitive load, accordingly.
Digital Landscape Review - as we enter the Beta phase, we’re working with the team on the end of Alpha report, comms to those who’ve taken part to date and plans for Beta.
Blogposts
We published two blog posts this week: Joining data and decision-making in the Welsh public sector - write up from our latest knowledge sharing webinar that took place on 25 January. This has already received good engagement online with 25 views so far.
