The comms team have been continuing to explore Google Analytics to better understand:
We’ve gained some interesting insights that have given us food for thought.
For example, how can we get more traffic to the site from within Wales?
How can we improve social traffic user flow through the site?
It would be great to hear how other communications teams are using Google Analytics to shape their comms approaches.
The comms team met Dr Jeremy Evas, head of Prosiect 2050 (the Welsh Government programme to have a million Welsh speakers by mid-century), this week to start planning CDPS’s presence at the annual National Eisteddfod. We’ll be holding a meeting of our Building Bilingual Services community of practice at the event, which takes place in the town of Tregaron from 30 July to August 6.
We’re also planning to do research at the Eisteddfod into user needs of Welsh language services, particularly the use of plain Welsh.
Will you be attending the National Eisteddfod? What are your organisation’s plans? Email [email protected].
We published two blog posts this week. One discusses latest findings about user and provider needs of remote working ‘hubs’ – ‘halfway houses’ between the office and homeworking. From its research, the team have now given the Welsh Government guidance about what to consider when choosing an online hub booking provider.
The other post, Bridging the digital divide in Wales, sets out what the Digital Inclusion team have learned from speaking to 18 organisations about improving access to digital services from often already disadvantaged groups in Wales.
